Client Services:
Unpaid Placements & Training
build on experience, discover options, train and gain skills

Unpaid community placements are arranged for the purpose of situational or functional assessments , training or exploration. An unpaid placement is a training opportunity, an opportunity to further develop your work skills, explore your interests, gain practical on-site experience and demonstrate your strengths to potential employers. On an unpaid placement you will perform real work in a real work environment with the benefit of supervision and support. Explore this resource available to you, challenge yourself to new opportunities and evaluate your interests, skills and your readiness to work.

"Career Services has provided invaluable assistance with their clients and staff in volunteering at the Habitat for Humanity Thousand Islands ReStore.
Roxanne Lackey and her clients are relied on to complete weekly projects throughout the ReStore, ranging from sorting and pricing to dismantling products destined for the metal recycler.

The staff and volunteers at the Habitat for Humanity Thousand Islands ReStore genuinely enjoy working with our Career Services partners, and look forward to their regular Friday morning visit."
